What’s your background?

Born in San Diego and growing up in Norway, I’ve been given a unique perspective on the world. I grew up wandering through beautiful forests and daydreamed about dangerous creatures and magic that lived in the woods and mountains. Now, living in Los Angeles I still catch my mind wandering through those Norwegian woods.

What’s your background?

I grew up on the South Hill of Spokane, Washington with my mom, dad, brother, and our two cats. As an adult I attended college at the University of Washington Bothell Campus and then left to study art at Washington State University. What’s your background?

I’m a student in communication and graphic design from Germany, aspiring to become a freelance illustrator. I mainly work digitally with my genre of choice mostly being fantasy/gothic. I live in a small town between Bonn and Cologne, right next to the forest and the “Wahner Heide,” a big heathland.

What’s your background?

My family moved a lot when I was a kid, and my parents always encouraged my brothers and me toward anything we became interested in. They always helped me find resources and people to learn from. Around the age of 14, I started studying with a local painter (a sort of apprentice/wizard situation). I learned very antiquated painting methods and went on to study painting at ASU.

What’s your background?

I’ve been driving towards “being an artist” since I was old enough to recognize “artist” as a career possibility. I opted out of art school and haven’t taken much formal training. So far my drive to improve comes from equal parts passion and internal pressure (and, to be honest, a heaping spoonful of an unrelenting competitive nature)—not to mention a very supportive family.
